I would like to ask some questions about my M6, hope someone can shed a light on it. I`m trying very hard each day to master this machine including the help of montage(m) tutorials and manual, but sometimes I just get stuck. Hope you don’t mind asking.
1.Assignable outputs routing to headphone.
Is it possible to hear on headphones both Main and assignable outputs 1&2 on Yamaha Montage M? It would be strange to be forced to edit a performance connecting all 4 outputs at home, while I need the assignable outputs only on stage. By the looks of it, I cannot seem to do it.
2. X7U file naming trouble.
Deleting the right user waveforms seems to be impossible. I loaded in about 100 multisamples containing multiple velocities, where filenames are automatically named Velocity 41 /63 /127 etc. by Sample Robot. When making a performance out of them, I gave it a proper name and all elements got a number attached to it (user …). But when you actually want to delete some waveforms which all are called Velocity …, you can never find the right one to delete. You cannot audition them and I see no number. I don’t see a way to delete user waveforms from inside a performance only in Utilities. How can I find the right ones?
3. Transposing also affects keyrange?
In some live scenario’s I would like to transpose on the fly. I use Shift > transpose to do semi tones up and down. When I transpose -2 for instance, my keyranges go UP +2. How can I transpose without effecting the key ranges?
4. 6 String Finger performance does not react to volume changes.
When I load in 6 string finger I cannot control the volume. No matter where i set it at, it stays the same. I`ve been looking at this for a long time and I cannot see how this is possible. I deleted all controller assignments. The only way I can set volume levels is at element level but I just wonder why I cannot set levels in mixer or anywhere in common level? I don’t have this problem with any other patch so far.
5. Copying settings to another performance.
When I want to copy part Ins effects to another part it does not let me. I have them next to each other but the Shift > Job command does not let me copy effects + settings. I can copy elements without a problem but if you stack parts it would be nice to copy exact effect and other settings from part to part.
