A little more than a week ago, I received a SY77 from Japan. The seller said it worked. After receiving it, I stupidly decided that I could not wait to for a transformer to arrive, and so I ran a 100V device on 120V power, thankfully, for probably only around an hour or less. When I got it, it needed a battery replacement. For a little bit, the drums worked and outputted sound, and the other voices made weird gurgling noises. Then it refused to output sound, after which I asked Reddit for advice and they recommended getting a transformer, replacing the battery, and doing a factory reset. After the transformer arrived, I did a factory reset, and it worked perfectly, except I had to do a factory reset every time I turned it on. Before the factory reset, it displayed gibberish. However, there still was the battery to be solved...
This evening, I turned it over, unscrewed the back cover, took out the DM1 board, soldered on the battery, and put it back it. I might have touched DM2 once or twice, but I don't think I ever touched the YM7119s specifically. I think everything went fine, but I did have quite sweaty fingers and was not wearing an anti-static bracelet, though I did regularly touch a metal radiator connected to the wall. It seems unlikely that I could have discharged static onto chips I never touched on a board I touched once or twice rather than the board I was working on.
After that, I plug it in and turn it on. The "Create YOUR sound...I'm Ready" (inspiring) greeting message does not appear, though the names of the patches seem to work fine. I then try to factory reset it... and it says "M3 IRQ CHECK ERROR."
I would really appreciate any help you can give me.
