I've had this same issue. The clipping is occurring internally within the preset. Specifically, the breakup seems to happen with the inserted compressor. If I go to the main FX control (touch FX at top of screen) and turn off "Insertion FX" the breakup goes away. Alternatively, I can turn off the compressor within that preset. I haven't been able to dial in compressor settings that don't distort but I haven't had a chance to really experiment yet.
