What an incredible review! I bought a new SA2200 a few years ago and it ruined me for other guitars.
I've wanted a cherry red ES-345 since Marty McFly rocked one in Back to the Future, and the SA2200 was one of my steps on the way there--similar to a black and gold Epiphone Sheraton 2 on my way toward getting a B.B. King-inspired ES-355.
A couple years after getting the SA2200, I could finally afford a new or used (non-vintage) 335/345. I've tried dozens and they've just failed to measure up to the Yamaha in quality and feel to the extent that I've never bothered plugging one of them into an amp (I like to get a feel for a guitar before I hear it with an amp).
Of note: Mine is also a Brown Sunburst that looked a little more like the Violin Sunburst according to the websites I looked at before purchasing it.

I lived close enough to the Sunset Blvd Guitar Center at the time and they had two for me to choose from. Both were considered Brown Sunburst. I bought the one on the right.
