I must confess I am hitting a milestone birthday in 10 weeks which has the numbers 6 and 0 in it, so there is an excuse to mark it with something special. I do not need another synth, yet I am GASING ….
I have never owned a Moog in my life, and I am starting to mentally measure up how I might fit a Moog Muse in the studio. On the one in, one out policy, I really need to be passing something out, and I am toying with selling my SY99 as it is mostly gathering dust, but it could probably do with a switch replacement job before I put it up for sale…. In losing the SY99, I lose 76 keys, better effects and features I never use, and I still have an TG77, FS1R, FM-X in the Montage, MOD-7 in the Kronos and patchable FM in my Nord G2 Engine. But I am still not quite sure I want to part with it. And I would probably need to loose the AN1x above my SY99 as the Muse looks quite deep. Again I am not using the AN1x much with everything else I have, and I do still have a PLG150-AN in my Motif Rack ES and AN in my EX5, and now AN-X in the Montage so possibly not a huge loss. But if I were to look at trying an AN1x to AN-X converter I could do with keeping it for reference.
And I do not really need another synth….
