Yamaha Montage and Montage M Forum • You cannot exclude parts/key ranges from triggering CAT?

Hi, it really seems that you cannot exclude a part/key range from triggering Channel after touch. It's like the whole keybed is a trigger for it and there is no way to exclude something from it. I use only splits because I play bass with my left hand in my band. It should be possible to exclude the bass from triggering CAT, at least I thought so.. I use CAT to modulate Horns swells and such which has a different keyrange or zone note limit. I turned off CAT and PAT for the bass part but that does make no difference at all. It just keeps on triggering it. I posted this issue on the M facebook group. Someone said i need to experiment with the Zone settings. I tried to see if the problem was my different pitch shift / note shift settings which "may" overlap the bass part for some reason and still triggering CAT that way. I still don't see what may be the solution here, if there is any. Does anyone has an idea? Otherwise CAT is almost useless for people who use splits.
