Recently I took apart my SY77 to remove the keyboard and clean up all the keys. Some were sticking. Phew! Quite a undertaking! Anywho, I was successful in getting it back together. But I screwed up big time when I was putting it back together. At some point before I removed the circuit boards to get at the keyboard unit, I had been checking out the hard drive to see why it wouldn't run the discs. Found the belt was all stretched out. I decided to fix that later and proceeded to take apart the "guts" so I could clean up my keys. I got the keys cleaned and put it back together only to discover that I never unplugged the synth before I started this project!!! UGH!!! I noticed the control screen was partially "blued" out with "streaks" I went to plug it in and it already was.!!!! SOB!! I press the power button and have no lights coming on. The only thing that changes is in appearance is that the screen has a partial "block" of blue in it. Did I "fry" the unit or short circuit something? Any ideas? Is this only good for parts?
Best regards.
