A pocket sized CS80 with advancements over the CS80 is as the name suggests "A Dream". Mine sold for $3,500 today but I wasn't trying to sell it so I'll have to cancel that. I even stated I wasn't selling it and someone still bought it. I watched this video and decided I'd be an idiot to sell it or it reinforced my thoughts. A pocket sized CS80! that's also possible to purchase and own but like was stated it never loses it's value as the buyer paid more than I paid for it.
With the instant voice creation software it's total lunacy and with MPE. Maybe Behringer will get it right or mess it up who knows but still nothing yet. To own a piece of Yamaha history in a shoebox legendary CS80 is pure insanity. We're all be a little crazy not to get one. I mix mine with the the PolyBrute 12 talk about textures.
I do have the Moog Muse but thinking about returning it because the PB12 is so much more versatile. What about Moog Muse vs Deckard's? The DD is simply more rare of a sound with two layers with 8 voices each so it's double the power and MPE while MM only does CAT. DD is more historically significant perhaps and because of the cost of a real CS80. I could buy a Moog mini version for base and have all I need. Not convinced I need to keep the Muse when having these (3) in a battle for ownership.
Moog dropped the ball on any significantly new keybed or control feature offering. It's still as it always was and everything is changing these days. For about $2,900 it's a deal.
