I've been playing MODX6 (daily) for as many years. Gosh, it's like the old "frog in hot water" analogy. I'm not sure I could tell how the feel has changed over the years.
I try to take care of my toys when gigging, so no broken keys, thank goodness. I don't think Yamaha have ever stated an expected lifetime.
