It is a nuisance, I use Cantabile on my Gig PC to send all the correct bank and program changes when I select a new song. Yes, that is another box you need, but that mine is an NUC PC (the size of a paperback) that sits in my 4U gig rack (USB I/F, DMX I/F, PC, Line Mixer, IEM transmitter and Nord G2 Engine. I use Cantable as a flexible MIDI processor between my keyboards (all connect to the PC in a"star" configuration, and for back tracks, backing loops and VST hosting.
My biggest bugbear with the Montage MIDI implementation is that you cannot select a live set via MIDI, only pages in the current live set.
