This is one of those things that we sometimes wonder about, but then we just take them as they are. Here it goes...
Question:
As we know, if ACMP button is off and LEFT voice button is off as well, then the entire keybed will play selected RIGHT hand voice(s). But if we turn ACMP button on and style is not running, then we always get some synth/strings padding sound on the left side of the keybed. Can we change that?
Answer: Yes.
Open Menu2, select Style Setting and then select Stop ACMP option. Now we will get three possible settings for ACMP button=on and style not running:
Off
-instead of that synth/strings padding sound, there will be silence if we play on the left side of keybed.
Style
-the sounds that we get on the left side of the keybed depends on voices and settings that are assigned to Bass and Pad track of the selected style. That applies even if those two tracks are not used in style. To hear the sound, tracks must be on -that is, if we only wish to hear Pad sound then we need to disable Bass track (or set it's volume to zero).
The resulting sound also depends on fingering mode and on how many keys we press on the left side of keybed.
Fixed
-that's the default setting (we get that synth/strings padding).
Of course we can combine all above with LEFT button on.
