Yes and it has some other odd things as I understand for example if you record after selecting, saving and linking a pattern to a performance and then you select "edit" a performance voice (within your current performance) and return to that same performance the pattern is automatically unlinked & has been changed and your recorded data has been lost. Nothing should be changed or lost except the edited voice.

The user's analogy is that once you/we enter a performance space call it a physical/material room "A", once in that room "A" nothing should be lost (no links broken) no matter what you are editing internal to room "A" and you should never be teleported into an alternate room "B" or "C" only to return to room "A" and have your recorded data lost or a link broken. The room "A" relationship to the user should be infinitely preserved until the user decides to undo or delete or overwrite material directly internal to room "A".

Even if you/we the user inadvertently, mistakenly &/or the system attempts to jump out (teleport) of room "A", nothing within room "A" should ever be changed. "Undo" should always bring us back to exactly how we left room "A".

If Yamaha wants to prevent an accidental overwrite of a previous recorded pattern all the system has to do is ask "Are You Sure You Want To Record Over This Pattern?" instead of unlinking and auto-advancing to a new empty pattern and erasing the previous data. That is probably a bug.
