Do you use Registrations Chris? That way you wouldn't have to commit a style to a particular MultiPad, you can vary the MultiPads used in that style any time through the registrations. So you can easily reuse the style with completely different pads if that suited, and not have to save the pads in a copy of the style and then name that style too.
My take on the file management is to decide in advance where to save the files, then don't move them, they will always be where the registration can find them. You can still access them for different songs from that same place, either in the keyboard or USB. Each registration can load anything you need... style, text/lyrics, voices, multipad (put a different bank in each Reg). You don't look for it and load it, the registration does that. I'm becoming a registration fan.
Registrations are pretty new to me but this is how I see myself setting up this time. And I think my files might be relatively easy to keep in order this way. I'm going to use the User area, I've never done that before, I'll just audition from USB. The Tyros might have other options.
The only downside I see (yet) is that I believe registrations can be an issue when changing keyboard. But (in my mind) not if you bring all your files to the new keyboard, and we both seem to like our user styles so it could be OK, or minimal trouble. And I'm not planning on changing, maybe ever.
