There is some kind of workaround that I mentioned recently in viewtopic.php?t=20482. If MIDI I/O Mode is set to Single (or Hybrid) in the system settings, then you can use Multi on some performances by enabling a zone (i.e. the Zone switch in Zone Settings). Zone Master would be always on, which is usually okay, because it only has an effect if a Zone switch is enabled.Ability to switch Midi Mode (Multi/Single) and ZONE Master not only Globally but PER PERFORMANCE base a well.
+ USB/MIDI mode simutanius use or per PERFORMANCE.
Now its handicapped as if "Utility Master Mode" where u have to go and configure it each time if you use Ipad sounds for example.
