I came across this collection of sounds I found somewhere on the internet months before I even bought a used EX5 via eBay
The folder is named PRE_103 and contains a single All Voice file PRST1_03.S1V and PRE_103.txt with this text:
what is happening here? KORG synths like TRITON and KROSS can update ALL the Programs (Voices) (not only User/internal...great choice of name Yamaha..."internal"!) but also the so called "Preset, pre-set, factory programs" since they are stored in some re-flashable memory area, not static ROM
Did newer EX5 come shipped with upgraded/fixed/updated v1.04 Tone Generator and equally "updated/fixed" preset/internal Voices?

I opened the .s1v file in hex editor and see Natural Grnd being first Voice...that is also a PRESET, I1-001 voice...EX5 v1.03 Tone Generator Presets .............. Nov 17, 2000

As Yamaha updates the Tone Generator chips for the EX5, some
of the preset Voices change a bit. For those of you who
prefer the way some of the older versions sounded, here is
a Voice file with the v1.03 presets.
