Yamaha FS1R • Re: Overview of Zeedit V2

Although this topic is quite old I think it's still quite relevant today so I will stick my oar in and say that Zee Edit is one of the best editors for the FS1R. I would have stuck with the FS1R editor by Sakura but the fact that it can't read the names of the internal user bank voices or change the performance from the editor itself puts me off.

So thought I would try the Zee Edit FS1R. This is more refined than the Sakura editor and is logically/graphically better presented than it's rival. Be aware though that Zee Edit requires an internet connection to run. This is a bit of a worry because if there is no internet connection or the license server is down then it will be impossible to run the editor. Zee Edit has the ability to change performances from it's front panel however still requires a manual dump from the FS1R to synchronize the internal performance and voice memories.

Both programs only save Performances one at a time so they can't be considered librarians in the true sense.
