I have the original Modx8 (not the +) , but having the same screen issues. I also have a modx76 (also not a +) and the screen works perfect But for my modx88 it’s only affecting the far left center part of the screen. The touch is off a little less than 1/2inch. But only in the center left side. My question, Has anyone successfully had the screen replaced? And if so did the issue return?.
I replaced the display in my MODX7 myself, not the same fault as it appears you guys are having but yes, I've done it. Originally, I attempted to go through the retailer, but they wanted to charge me $350NZD for a replacement display. I was quite annoyed with Yamaha for not replacing the display as the problem (a bright spot in the display about 5mm in diameter) appeared through no fault of my own.

In the end, I sourced two locations that sold the same display. I thought it was a bargain for $50USD + shipping costs and ordered. Unfortunately, a few days later the seller cancelled my order after reaching out to their supplier and discovering the price had gone up considerably. I ended up re-ordering from the same seller for $120USD.

If you want to go down this route the display is a Tianma TM070RBHG13.

* Part No: ZX938901 (replaces ZX938900) (YAMAHA part number)
* Description: LCD DISPLAY TM070RBHG13 MODX6,7,8

I purchased mine from AliExpress:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/ ... 39506.html

There is also another seller that sells this part:
https://www.alcdshopping.com/products/t ... reen-panel

Otherwise you could most likely get through Yamaha or Syntaur.

A word of advice, if you decide to take this job on yourself detach the main ribbon from the motherboard and attach one end to the display whilst removed from the casing. The connector on the back of the display is very fine and very tight. It must be lined up precisely and you must be quite cautious when applying force to it. Plenty of light to see what you're doing when doing this is essential. The connector on the motherboard is so simple to reconnect compared to the one on the display.
